This Art Print/Poster of THE PARTING GLASS is from my original pen and ink illustration. The Parting Glass is a Scottish traditional song which has also long been popular in Ireland, often sung at the end of a gathering of friends. The parting glass was the final hospitality offered to a departing guest. Once they had mounted, they were presented one final drink to fortify them for their travels. I especially love the version of this song as done by Shaun Davey in the movie, Waking Ned Devine, as well as the version by The High Kings.

The colors of the print are dark green and light green with a blue sky background.

I made this print with a white border so that you can either place it in an 8x10 picture frame without mat, or an 8.5x11 or larger picture frame, using your mat. (Shown with frame, not included.)

For 8x10 frames, just place the glass around the image and draw a pencil line, then cut that line. If you want to place in 8.5x11 or larger frame, there would be plenty of room for a mat.

The print is on quality poster paper, suitable for framing, with or without mat, in a standard picture or poster frame. (Frame and mat not included. Picture frames are widely available at most department stores.) The print will be shipped in an appropriate sized mailing tube.
