A 5x7 art postcard, “MARLEY’S GHOST,” from Charles Dickens novel, “A Christmas Carol.” This is a print of my original pen and ink illustration. I will also have this available as an art print/poster soon. (This size also works as a framed print in a standard 5x7 frame.)

This is from my original pen & ink illustration of “Marley’s Ghost,” from Charles Dickens’ book, A Christmas Carol. Ebenezer Scrooge is first visited by Jacob Marley, his seven-years’ dead business partner, wearing a chain of cash-boxes, keys, padlocks, ledgers and deeds wrought in steel, and who tells Scrooge of the Three Spirits to follow.  The handwritten words on a scroll are an excerpt taken from the book at the moment Marley enters the room:  “…upon it’s coming in, the dying flame leapt up, as though it cried, ‘I know him! Marley’s Ghost!’ and fell again.”

The colors of the printed cards are sepia tone pen and ink, and watercolor. It has the look of old scroll paper, with a deep royal blue surrounding the image.

The postcard is also printed on the back with a space for writing and a space for an address.
